Today is the last day of 2019 and as I sit here thinking about these last 365 days, I can’t help but feel grateful for everyone who has been beside me on this journey. It has been a fabulous year with this last quarter being my highest grossing quarter since opening Little Owl Design. Ending with this momentum has really fired me up for what’s to come in 2020.

Before I begin sharing what’s in store for 2020, I’d like to share a bit of my life in 2019.

Our New Home

I think the biggest thing happened literally 365 days ago. Jim & I bought our new home. Yep, on New Year’s Eve 2018 the offer Jim and I put on our new home in Discovery Bay was accepted. We were so excited and waiting until the first weekend in February to move in seemed like an eternity. We are still getting settled and I absolutely love my new office space. No more designing from the living room for me.

Graduation

Back in December 2018, I completed my degree at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. This May was my graduation. I shared the experience here, if you would like to check it out. I was originally going to skip the event but I’m so glad I didn’t.

WordCamp

In September I attended my first WordCamp. WordCamp is a local conference for people who use the Wordpress platform. I met some great people and learned so much. I wrote about the weekend here, check it out.

Coffee Tastes Better….

I was messing around in Illustrator one evening while watching TV with the family. I had purchased a new graphics bundle and was excited to see what I could create with it. Well, one thing led to another and the Coffee Tastes Better… mug collection was born. Check it out on Zazzle and follow Coffee Tastes Better on Instagram to see my latest designs.

Amazing Client Experiences

This year I have met some incredible business owners and worked on some fun projects. A few I’ve highlighted here already and some I’ll be writing posts about in 2020. I’d like to thank all of the business owners who trusted me and allowed me to help them grow their businesses

What’s in store for 2020

Tomorrow can’t get here soon enough. In the past, I have chosen a word to help me stay focused for the year. Last year my word was: revitalize. This year my word is

Visible

I’m living in a new community now and it’s time to let the community know there is a new business in town. Starting in 2020, you will see more blog posts, newsletters and social media posts sharing marketing, website and design tips. I’m even thinking of a weekly Facebook live post if I can overcome my camera shyness.

The most exciting news for 2020 is my newest offering:

SEO Management Services.

Contrary to popular belief SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is not a one and done effort. It’s a marathon that most business owners don’t have time for. Working with me will make things easier. My goal is to partner with my clients to create and implement a strategic SEO plan for their website driving more customers to their website.

Until next time,
