No, Little Owl Design is able to work with businesses all around California as well as all the other states in the US. With the ability to have online video calls Little Owl Design can even work with businesses in other countries.
What does a website designer do?
The short answer is a website designer – plans and builds internet site. The long answer involves all we do to plan and build an internet site. My job as a website designer is to learn about your business, your customers and your competition. I take that knowledge and develop a plan for your website that leads visitors to become new customers.
How much does it cost to design a website?
Cost can vary depending on what you need in your website. I offer two basic printing structures $3000 for an information website and $3750 for an e-commerce website. Add ons will increase these prices. For example adding a membership structure onto your website is an additional $500. It’s always best to contact me for a no obligation discovery call. We can discuss your project and I will create a proposal that fits your needs.
Do you require payment upfront?
Payment plans are available for all large design projects (ie website design, logo design or branding).
There is a 25% deposit due with the signed contract. This is to cover the cost for the time spent on research and design. This desposit is non refundable.
What are your payment terms?
- 25% at contract signing
- 25% after the approval of design concepts – We will not begin building your site until the 2nd deposit is paid
- Final due after website is completed – Your website will not be launched until the final payment is received
Do you work with Wordpress?
Absolutely, Wordpress is one of the best content management systems for small businesses. By using Wordpress along with the Divi Theme, Little Owl Design is able to build for you a custom website that has the ability to grow as your business grows.
But I don't have Wordpress, can you work with other builders like Wix?
Absolutely, while Wordpress is the system I would recommend, we can certainly work with what you already have. Little Owl Design has experience working with the GoDaddy website builder, Wix and Squarespace.
How can I design my own website?
There are many platforms that offer website builders – Go Daddy, Wix and Shopify are just a few. If you are considering designing your own website first ask yourself is the value of your time to design your website worth the time you need to put into it in order to be successful. I have two guides that you might find helpful if you decide to design your own website. The first is my Guide to Building Your Small Business Website, the second is my Guide to SEO for Your Small Business.
How long with my project take?
The timeframe will depend on how big your project is. A simple informational site can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks and large ecommerce or membership site can take up to 3 months to complete.
One of the biggest delays comes from gathering the written content and assets like logos, photos for the website. If you need help putting these items together, I have a list of great people that I can refer you too.
How do we get started?
That’s simple. Just scroll down and click the Book My Call button. This will get you set up with a no obligation call to discuss your project.
